The rice stick to the bottom, and therefore, to much trouble to clean afterwards. Also too small, more like for one-person use.

My biggest problem with rice cookers in the past has been size - I couldn't find one that would manage larger quantities of rice without going way up in price! This one is PERFECT - I can make a small amount for myself and my husband on most days or a big bowl of rice for that big family dinner! rice does stick if I cook less than one cup. but i will just soak it overnight and it comes right off the next day. no biggie. other than that, a little rice cooker that definitely works! great price. havent tried steaming yet.

Does everything a rice cooker should do and nothing it shouldn't do. I replaced an old, old rice steamer that broke down. This one is more compact and makes more rice. Good product, and especially for the price.

This item cooks rice very well; however, it does not have an automatic shut off. I would have preferred a unit with an automatic shut off because I overcooked the rice at least once already.
